Remember the film 'Absolute Beginners'? Well the part where David Bowie is singing 'That's Motivation' to the camp bloke playing Colin? They are sat on a vespa on a huge record player......that's a small glimpse into my what passes for my mind. Music and scooters. Which, when you consider it, it's not a bad thing. After all, i do own Scooter-Forums Radio. This is the place for stuff that can't keep in my addled brain, ie: waffle, rubbish, and other useless crap.

SFSC ACTIVE MEMBERS RIDE TO GAINSBOROUGH
met up with dave (vepsa old fart) in
donny, then rode through to gainsborough to meet up with stu and his lovely
mrs, tina.
the weather was cracking the flags as me
and VoF got to the meeting place, 'the trent port'. however, a miscalculation of
travelling time meant we got there about 90 minutes early. we sat outside the
pub for a while then went in search of food/drink. we rode into gainsborough. it
was shut. so we went to tesco.
2 latte's later (sophisticated we are) we
rode back to the meeting point, and sat waiting for the lincoln mob (if a mob
can consist of 2 people). it wasn't long before we heard the familiar putt putt
of 'the jinx'.
drinks were had, VoF showed of his
gymnastic skills (who knew?), and then it was time for food. the queue in 'the
trent port' was a bit on the long side, so it was decided that 'wetherspoons'
would be in order.
helmets on, and off we go. scampi for
tina. chicken burger for VoF, and two lamb and mint burgers for stu and i. one
each that is! after another drink, and the admission by stu that he wears womens
clothing on saturdays and goes by the name of stephanie, we said our goodbyes.
short and sweet, but tina had to get home to rest before her shift
tonight.
good weather, good company, good
scootering. what more could you ask?

JOHN WELLER. 1931-2009
it's with a heavy heart that i bring you the news of the death
of John Weller
it was john that bought paul his first guitar.
john that worked every hour he could so that paul could fulfill his
dream.
and more importantly john who managed paul from the start, until his
passing.
his cry of "lets hear it for the best fucking band in the world......THE
JAM" was heard before every show!
he was their roadie, driver, gig getter....the whole shebang.
anyone who ever saw john talk of paul, or paul talk of john couldn't fail
to see the absolute love they had for each other along with the 100% belief and
commitment john put into his job as pauls manager.
paul understandably is said to be devastated. my thoughts go out to him,
his mother Ann, sister Nicky and all family and friends.
farewell mr weller..... sadly missed.
paul, you are in my thoughts.

BUSY WEEKEND
i'm going to be here on saturday (for a
short while at least) but i have to go, becasue with any luck there'll be some
of the guys there that helped me get back on the road after my smash. and it's
been some time since i last saw em!

then on sunday, the old fart and myself are
riding down to gainsbrough to see the clan jinx and the lincs lot.
like i say, busy weekend!
