i am now part of the great unwashed! as of the 10th October i start an open university course....ethics in real life (you reading this dinners?). ethics? how i am thuppothed to drive down thouth and back every day ith beyond me. firtht ethics, then thurrey, then middlethexth the worldth my oythter!
in all seriousness, as a union rep, we get a chance to study and the union subsidises it. now as someone who totally blew it at school, i thought it too good an offer to pass on. hopefully, and i have everything crossed here, when/if i pass this course, i am hoping to do a psychology one, then a few more because if i do, and i pass them, i can build up enough points to qualify to do a degree! not sure in what field yet, something in the way of the union, human rights, that kind of thing.
we'll see anyway. i have to pass this first one yet! so it's at this point i'd like to thank a few people. those that didn't fall about when i told them about my plans.

and a special ta to big vern.....thats professor big vern of stirling university, who nudged me along with the VERY KIND MENTION IN HIS NEW BOOK, and the kind words as he was the first person i turned to (after the enemy) to as "could i do this or am i just pissing in the wind?" and to the rest who i have forgotten, ta very much too.
